POP3 Configuration

Step 1: Select Personalities |
|
After launching Eudora, select Tools from the program menu and select Personalities. |

Step 2: Add New Personality |
|
Position the mouse anywhere in left pane and right-click to bring up an options menu. Select New from this menu. |

Step 3: Create New Account |
|
The New Account wizard will open up. Select Create a brand new email account. |
|
Note: If you have just installed Eudora, this wizard will come up automatically. Press Next. |

Step 4: Personality Name |
|
Type in a descriptive name for your new personality. |
|
Note: If you have just installed Eudora, this window will not appear. The first account will the dominant personality by default. Press Next. |
 |
|
Step 5: Personal Information |
|
Type in the name of the account's user. This name will be displayed on your outgoing mail. Press Next. |
 |
|
Step 6: Email Address |
|
Type in the email address for this account. Press Next. |
 |
|
Step 7: User Name |
|
Type in your full e-mail address into the User Name field. Press Next. |
 |
|
Step 8: Incoming Email Server |
|
Type in the name of your Incoming Email Server. Select POP as the type of server you are using. Press Next. |

Step 9: Outgoing Email Server |
|
Type in the name of your Outgoing Email Server. This is the same as your Incoming Email Server. |

Note: If you signed up for e-mail service before April 20, 2005, you should uncheck the allow authentication box. |
|
If you signed up for e-mail service after April 20, 2005, you should allow authentication. Press Next. |

Step 10: Finish |
|
To complete the setup process of your new account, press Finish. |
